Jordan Hale
Jordan Hale is the pen name of the homeowner behind Tap & Trowel, who builds these calculators and guides from manufacturer data, building codes and published standards, and adds notes from projects around the house as they're done.
Jordan Hale isn't a licensed contractor, engineer, plumber or electrician, and these pages don't pretend otherwise. Every calculator shows its formula and sources, and every guide says where a job needs a permit or a pro.
How AI is used
An AI assistant helps research sources, write and test calculator code, and draft pages. Jordan Hale reviews what's published and is responsible for it. Spot an error? See the contact page.
